Embracing Autumn: Activities to Enjoy in Our Senior Living Community

Autumn is a favorite time of year for many residents at Cristwood Park in Shoreline and Crista Shores in Silverdale. As the weather cools and activities come inside, senior living communities embrace pumpkin spice and autumn colors. Our residents enjoy the autumn season with many special events and a seasonal twist on their regular activities.

Weekly craft parties take on autumn themes and monthly dinner parties highlight late harvest foods. And, as we do in every season, our communities are invited to special events like the following:

For our Shoreline community at Cristwood Park:

  • Attending a Taproot Theatre matinee — this autumn, the show is “Last Drive to Dodge”
  • A scenic drive to Magnolia Bluff and a stop at Larsen’s Bakery
  • A walk on the Bothell Landing
  • Lunch at the Olive Garden restaurant
  • A Hymn Sing featuring The Pilgrim’s Men’s Chorus
  • Operation Shoebox Kickoff with “Gift of the Magi Retold”

For our Silverdale community at Crista Shores:

  • An African Missions presentation with Chaplain Jeff and a resident who lived in Africa
  • Two professional piano concerts brought into Crista Shores
  • An Intergenerational Trick or Treat event with a local community
  • A County Fair Costume contest and games party
  • Attending Rick Steves at the Admiral Theater
  • Attending the Bremerton Symphony
