CRISTA Senior Living will continue to use these website updates to comply with federal regulations calling on long term care facilities to inform residents, their representatives and families of any confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases among residents and staff. This page will be updated by the next calendar day following any new confirmed diagnoses of COVID-19 among our residents or staff, or any emerging clusters of respiratory symptoms. We will also provide cumulative updates on the number of individuals diagnosed along with information about the measures in place to mitigate transmission of COVID-19.

We are not aware of any COVID-19 diagnoses among residents or staff in either the independent living or assisted living areas on our Crista Shores campus in Silverdale.

On March 18 a single case of COVID-19 was announced in the Cristwood Park apartments on our Shoreline campus. We are aware of no other COVID-19 diagnoses among staff or residents at Cristwood Park or in the Cristwood Garden Apartments.

On May 11 we were informed by the medical examiner’s office that a resident of The Courtyard at Cristwood (our Shoreline assisted living facility) who had passed away on May 6 subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. A total of eight Courtyard residents tested positive during April or early May. Nine Courtyard staff tested positive in March or April, and we are aware of no new diagnoses among Courtyard residents or staff in the past three weeks.

The most recent confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis among CRISTA Rehab & Skilled Care residents was on April 29. Thirty-nine residents of CRISTA Rehab & Skilled Care have tested positive since late March, and all COVID-positive nursing home residents are being cared for in a single isolation wing. Twenty-nine nursing home staff members tested positive between March and April, and we are not aware of any new diagnoses among nursing home staff in the past four weeks.

Senior Living remains diligent in observing all appropriate measures to mitigate transmission of COVID-19. We continue to abide by the restrictions and requirements imposed by our local public health authorities, our state and federal licensing agencies, and our state government. Our visitation restrictions are described below.

We sincerely thank our beloved residents and their families, our amazing staff, and our valued partners in the community around us for the many expressions of support and encouragement that have helped carry everyone through this challenging season. God bless you all!

In His service,

Glen Melin
