CRISTA Senior Living will continue to use these website updates to comply with federal regulations calling on long term care facilities to inform residents, their representatives and families of any confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases among residents and staff. This page will be updated by the next calendar day following any new confirmed diagnoses of COVID-19 among our residents or staff, or any emerging clusters of respiratory symptoms. We will also provide cumulative updates on the number of individuals diagnosed along with information about the measures in place to mitigate transmission of COVID-19.
We are not aware of any COVID-19 diagnoses among residents or staff in either the independent living or assisted living areas on our Crista Shores campus in Silverdale.
In mid-March a single case of COVID-19 was announced in the Cristwood Park apartments on our Shoreline campus. We are aware of no other COVID-19 diagnoses among staff or residents at Cristwood Park or in the Cristwood Garden Apartments.
A total of ten residents of The Courtyard at Cristwood (our Shoreline assisted living facility) have tested positive for COVID-19. The most recent diagnosis was made post-mortem by the coroner’s office for a resident who passed away August 12. Eleven Courtyard staff members have tested positive since the pandemic’s onset, all of whom have since recovered and returned to work.
Senior Living remains diligent in observing all appropriate measures to mitigate transmission of COVID-19. We continue to abide by the restrictions and requirements imposed by our local public health authorities, our state and federal licensing agencies, and our state government. Our visitation restrictions are described below.
We sincerely thank our beloved residents and their families, our amazing staff, and our valued partners in the community around us for the many expressions of support and encouragement that have helped carry everyone through this challenging season. God bless you all!
In His service,
CRISTA Vice President for Senior Living
“How precious, O God, is your constant love! We find protection under the shadow of your wings.”
The only persons allowed to enter our assisted living areas are those providing essential care and services necessary for the resident’s well-being. These persons must be screened prior to entry for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 and for contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with or is under investigation for COVID-19. They must have a temperature check, and will be required to show identification, sign a log showing time entering and leaving the facility, and provide name and contact information including phone number and email address. Any non-employee authorized to enter our assisted living facilities must practice hand hygiene and wear a mask.
Visitors to apartment residents will only be permitted when the visit is essential to the resident’s well-being (e.g. delivery of critical services or supplies). Social visits, even from family members, cannot currently be allowed. All essential visitors to independent living areas must enter via that area’s main reception desk, undergo screening and provide additional information as described above, and restrict their visit to the resident’s room.
